Mark Lee Thompson, Sr., 88, of Martinsville, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 at his home.

Mark was born Monday, September 14, 1936 to the late Karl Thompson and Opal (Harper) Thompson in Clinton, Indiana. He married the love of his life, Penny L. (Neal) Thompson on January 4, 1980.

Mark was a graduate of Spencer High School. He went on to love his job selling and delivering propane. Mark worked for Ferrell Gas and could educate anyone about propane, and he loved every bit of it! Mark also loved and was an avid member of Emmanuel Apostolic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Penny; daughters, Heather Tuttle (Josh), Cathy Huffler (Greg); grandchildren, Amelia, Sophie, Claire, Emery, Brandt, Ciara, Marlee, Serenity; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Sheila Myers.

Mark is preceded in death by his son, Mark Thompson, Jr.; parents, Karl and Opal; brother, Neal Thompson; sister, Michelle Maciok.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Emmanuel Apostolic Church, 1320 Morton Avenue, Martinsville, Indiana 46151 with Pastor Mark Abernathy officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the church and one hour prior to the service on Friday starting at 10:00 a.m.

Mark will be laid to rest with military honors at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery.
