Mark Throne

Mark Edward Throne, 68, husband of Anabella Galdamez-Throne, of Beaufort, SC, died from cancer on Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11:00am at Anderson Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will NOW BE HELD on Monday, January 27 2025 at 1:00pm in St. Peter's Catholic Church with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mark was born on February 3, 1956 in York, PA. He is the son of the late William Throne and Betty McCord Throne.
Mark's family moved down to Beaufort, SC in 1965. He graduated in1975 from Battery Creek High School. After high school, he went to live in California for several years. He returned home to Beaufort, SC and started his career with BJWSA. Mark was a dependable and hard worker, who dedicated 32 years to BJWSA.
Mark loved his family. He was a proud father, husband, brother, grandpa, uncle and friend. He had endless love for his wife Anabella (Ana) and his dog Dodger.
Mark was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 30 years.
Mark never met a stranger and always found a way to talk to anyone. He was friends with everyone.
Mark faced cancer with courage and was determined for cancer to not define who he was. He fought cancer and never gave up.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Anabella; is one daughter, Heather Throne; two step daughters, Gaby Green (Josh) and Cristina Lerding (Aaron); one step son, Alonso Galdamez (Kyla); three brothers, Billy, Scott and Keith Throne; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Michael Throne.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Beaufort Capa.
