Mark J. Vitale, 74, formerly of Lincoln, MA, passed away at home, as he wanted, with his sister and closest friends, Dave Lavine and his wife Barbara, by his side, on September 21, 2025.

Born in Arlington, MA on December 7, 1955, Mark was the son of the late M. Frances (Pratt) Vitale and Joseph A. Vitale.

He attended the Lincoln public schools, graduating from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School and Bentley University with a degree in Business.

He was a man who loved to work, and began working early in life. First, he did chores around the house for extra money, and when he got a bit older he began a yard work business, where he learned the construction trades. He became a highly skilled contractor, and a very successful business man and entrepreneur who justifiably took great pride in his work. He had a kind heart too, and helped many people throughout his lifetime.

Mark was a go-getter and lifelong learner. He held himself to a high standard, striving for perfection in everything. He loved what he did, so he seldom took any time off. He considered the many winters he spent in Florida as taking time off, where he worked in the sun and enjoyed a little beach time too. However, over the years, he did willingly take time for himself during many fun trips with his sister to Las Vegas.

He is survived by his sister, Christine M. Vitale, of Swansea, MA, and closest friend, his "brother from another mother", David A. Lavine, of Bedford, MA.

A private burial service was held at Lincoln Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory can be made to the charity of your choice or by doing a kind deed for someone in need.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
