Mark Allen Weinberg

Mark Allen Weinberg, 76, of Lakeville, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Three Links Care Center in Northfield.
Mark was one of the sweetest, loving men I have ever met. As his wife, Janese Weinberg, I was often amazed by how quickly and joyfully he would help a stranger as easily as he would his best friend; of which he had many. Mark especially admired women, and to him they were all beautiful.
A cowboy at heart, Mark enjoyed sharing his memories about his horse, Rodane, and his adventurous time participating in rodeos. When he wasn't riding horses, he often was cruising on his Harley, his favorite was his FXR. Mark was also a talented artist, exploring genres including scrimshaw, drawing, woodwork, and welding. Mark was also a proud veteran and served in both the Army and Coast Guard.
Mark's memory will remain as a kind-hearted, well-traveled, and cultured man with many interesting stories and jokes. Truly an inspiration to all he knew and loved, he was delighted to be a father and was very devoted to his family-becoming a grandparent was a highlight in his life-the kids adored him and he would light up every time they were together.
Mark was preceded in death by his father and mother, Sol and June Weinberg and beloved grandparents Dorothy and Sammy Plotkin, as well as many important friends and family.
This amazing man will be missed by his family and many friends, leaving behind his beautiful daughters, Wren Nealon and Kaitlin Weinberg; his stepson Mick Butler, daughter-in-law Kate, and grandson Orson; stepdaughter Mary Lowe and grandkids Bobby and Daisy; his sister Susan and brother-in-law Dick Madenburg; their children and grandchildren, Joanna, Scott, Maxine, and Hunter; "adopted" sister Patty Stewart; and with deep sadness as his wife, Janese Weinberg.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held at 11 AM, Monday, January 12, 2026, at Trinity Church in Lakeville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A reception will follow the service at the church. Interment will be held privately in Fort Snelling National Cemetery prior to the service.
