Mark Henry Weiss, age 69, of Sarasota FL was born in Chicago, IL on April 9, 1955, and passed away at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, IL on November 29, 2024, after an extended battle with cancer and pneumonia.
Born in Chicago, he grew up in Skokie, and graduated from DePaul University, earning his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Business. Most of his career was spent with IBM focusing on telecommunications. He is survived by his wife of almost 38 years, Sally (Winner) Weiss; their sons, Ari Weiss and Zachary (Francesca) Weiss; and siblings Linda (Ron) Lavenda, Debra Michael, Heidi Speer and Bruce (Cathy) Weiss.
A gathering to remember and celebrate his life will be scheduled in the future, with the date yet to be determined.

Dear Sally, Ari and Zachary,

I am deeply saddened to learn of Mark's passing. Sending you love and my heartfelt condolences. He was a singularly wonderful person. The world has less sparkle, wit, and laughter with his departure. May his memory be a blessing.
