Mark T. Welsh. Age 59 of Riverview.
Beloved husband of Lori. Loving father of Angela (Brad), Ashley (John), Ryan (Haley) and Meagan (William). Dearest grandfather of Riley, Max, Joslyn, Tayler, Kaydence, Penelope, Piper, John, Beau and Colton, as well as two grandchildren on the way. Dear brother of Bill (Claire), Kevin (Colleen), Greg (Joanne), Ray (Bethanne), Brian (Catherine), David, Betsy (Larry) and Amy (Michael).
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions are appreciated to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI.
Mark Welsh was born in Detroit, Michigan. He was raised on Grosse Ile where he graduated from Grosse Ile High School.
Mark was a man of kindness and generosity. He would pay for someone's gas or cut their grass without a second thought. His caring nature extended to his involvement with Relay for Life and Night to Shine, where he dedicated his time to helping others. In a final act of generosity, Mark was able to donate his eyes and the gift of sight to someone in need. Let us hope that they see the world in a similar way that Mark did.
A passionate sports fan, he loved the Detroit Lions and cherished attending his grandchildren's games. Family meant everything to him - he is survived by his loving wife Lori, his children Angela (Brad), Ashley (John), Ryan (Haley) and Meagan (William). He was a proud grandfather to Riley, Max, Joslyn, Tayler, Kaydence, Penelope, Piper, John, Beau and Colton, and he eagerly awaited the arrival of two more grandchildren. He loved family animals Lola, Cope, and Griffin.
Mark is survived by his brothers Bill (Claire), Kevin (Colleen), Greg (Joanne), Ray (Bethanne), Brian (Catherine) and David, along with his sisters Betsy (Larry) and Amy (Michael). Together, they shared countless memories and a bond that will never be broken.
He was preceded in death by loving parents Jean and William Welsh, mother-in-law Ruth Bauer, son Daniel and beloved family dog, Hampton.
Mark's legacy of kindness will inspire us all to give to others as he did. Thank you, Mark, for your endless love and support. You will be deeply missed.
