Mark Duane Whitford

Mark Duane Whitford, age 67, of Lansing Michigan, died on November 14, 2025.
Mark was born on February 5, 1958, to RG and Elaine (Kellogg) Whitford in Carson City, Michigan. He graduated from Fulton High School with the class of 1976. He married the love of his life, Leigh Becker, on May 5, 1989. They shared 36 years of marriage together this year.
During his life, Mark worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, and hunting, especially deer hunting. He was a huge John Wayne and Michigan Wolverines fan as well as enjoyed collecting toy tractors and cooking. Above all else, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. His family and friends will fondly remember his big heart and his amazing ability to make everyone feel welcome.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Leigh; children, Anthony (Heidi) Whitford, Kristy (Matt) Palmer, Stacy (Jason) Brown; grandchildren, Blake, Brennen, Alexis, Ashton, Braelyn, Aibhilin; brother, Randy (Colleen) Whitford; sisters-in-law, Pat Whitford, Lisa Rudy, Darlene (Raul) Manriquez; his beloved dog, Blondie; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, and brother, Jim.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at North Star Cemetery.
