Mark Arthur Wishard, 81, of Cumming, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Mark was born in Roswell, New Mexico on October 11, 1943. He married Ida Janis Marshall, of Lamesa, Texas on May 30, 1964. He graduated from Roswell High School, Texas Tech University, and received his Master's of Business Administration from the University of Tulsa. He was a Certified Public Accountant, working in various roles as an executive in the oil and healthcare industries in Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi, Washington, and Georgia. He enjoyed TV and movies, good food, travel, fishing, working in the yard, bird watching, and playing sports, building Legos, or doing any activity with his grandsons. Mark was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ, teaching and preaching throughout the years. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Ancle Lee and Nevada Wishard, and his brother, Timothy Edwin Wishard.
Mark is survived by his wife Jan, daughters Cheri Combee and Shelli Gafford, sons –in-law Mike Combee and Steve Gafford, and grandsons Will, Marshall, and Wade Combee, all of Cumming. Also, his sister, Sharon Lee Wishard, and nieces Amy Wishard of Roswell, New Mexico and Pam Wishard of California.
A private family service was held to celebrate Mark’s life and eternal Hope on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
