I first met Mark when we were both students in Mrs. Waters' first grade class at Fallsington Elementary. All he ever want to be was a writer. I remember when in fourth grade he wrote his first book, "Jumper," which was about the life of the titular salmon. He also illustrated it. The school librarian liked it so much that she put it on display with all of the rest of the library's collection.
