Mark M. Zerby, 63 a lifelong resident of Ridley Park passed away on July 28, 2025 at Riddle Hospital. Mark was a graduate of Ridley High School, class of 1979, where he played the trumpet in various ensembles during his school years and was a member of the Ridley Music Reunion Committe for his class. Mark furthered his education at Widener University where he studied Mechanical Engineering. He later went on to get his MBA online at the University of Phoenix where he graduated with honors. Mark was employed as mechanical engineer at the Naval Shipyard for over 25 years.
In his free time, Mark enjoyed writing and recording his own music at his home studio. He loved listening to The Beatles and enjoyed watching the Phillies and the Three Stooges. Mark's family would like to thank all of his doctors, therapists, nurses and aides at Mercy Home Healthcare and the visiting medical group for their loving dedication, kindness and compassion to all of his needs, they truly became a part of the family. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph J. and Kathryn Denchak Zerby and his godson Alexander Zerby. Mark was the loving husband of 34 years to Constance A. "Connie" DeLyne Zerby, devoted Dad of Katherine Theresa Zerby (Dominick Capolupo), brother of Joseph J. Zerby, Jr. (Roseann) and Dr. Stephen A. Zerby (Bernadette), and he was the uncle of Andrew and Victor Zerby. A visitation will be held from 9:15 to 10:15 AM on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park where a Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 AM celebrated by a dear visiting priest from Mark's family Rev. Father Pio from the Saint Vincent Archabbey in Labtrobe, Burial will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Memorial gifts to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org/ would be appreciated.
