Robert L. Zerby, age 77, passed away suddenly on September 4, 2025.
He was born on April 30, 1948, in Canton, Ohio.
Robert graduated from Marlington High School in 1967 and worked for Cunningham Furniture and Sidley’s Concrete. He met the love of his life at the Fairmount Children’s Home, where he grew up, and married her in 1970. Robert served honorably in the United States Army and was a member of Alliance Friends Church.
Robert loved watching the news and sports. He especially loved football and the Cavs. Robert enjoyed spending time with family and friends and taking vacations to Disney World. He never met a person he didn’t talk to.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Shanna Bryant (John Martin); granddaughter, Peyton Bryant; great family friend, Jerry Lesnick; and grand-dog, Abby.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, who passed away in January of 2024.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, September 12th at 6:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Russ Gumm will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Children’s, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
