Marla Hooper

Marla (DeDe) Hooper, 78, of Georgetown, TN, a beloved wife, mother, GG, aunt, sister and friend to many gained her wings and peacefully returned to the loving embrace of our Lord with family by her side on Sunday December 17, 2023. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on September 26, 1945 and retired with her Husband Kinzie Hooper to Georgetown, TN in 2001 to be closer to
her children and grandchildren.
DeDe is preceded in death by her husband, Kinzie L. Hooper, Son, Kyson L. Hooper, Sister Kay Bunge, Sister Lila DeMond, Father LeRoy Keithly and Mother Mildred Kirk Keithly.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons, seven granddaughters, one great granddaughter, one brother and numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
Son, Kurt and Nancy Hooper and granddaughters Samantha and Sydney Hooper. Son, Kary and Michele Hooper and granddaughters, Kimber Hooper, Amanda Hooper, Taylor Hooper and great granddaughter Brylin Kinzie Hooper. Son, Kyson's two daughters; granddaughters Teagan Hooper and Natalee Hooper. Brother, Kirk and Juanita Keithly and family.
Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her knew that she always put others before herself and extended a helping hand and an open door. She was loving, funny, wise, selfless, feisty, kind, particular, a great listener and most of all real. She loved being outdoors camping and fishing with family and friends. A celebration of DeDe's life that has impacted so many is planned for Saturday, December 30th, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Stanfield Baptist Church located 1549 No Pone Road NW, Georgetown, TN 37336 with Pastor Mike Rymer and Reverend Eric Geren officiating.
The family invites you to join them at the Fellowship Hall immediately after the service for a time of gathering, fellowship and of course food. DeDe wouldn't have it any other way. In lieu of flowers, please provide a donation in DeDe's name to Stanfield Baptist Church Children's Ministry.
