She survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Michael Ramirez Sr; her five children-Leinaala Simmons, Kalama Akana, Michael Ramirez Jr, Maile Luera, Justin Ramirez, and Kanani Shaffer; as well as her 16 grandchildren, and her daddy Harold Cardona, Dad Mike Albayrak, her siblings Jenny Sanchez, Brenda Cardona, JR Cardona, Meredith Barraza, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends-including her lifelong best friend, Marlene (Gomes) Espitia. She was preceded in death by her mother she loved dearly Josephine Leinaala Albayrak
Marleen was a cherished mother, sister, aunty, and friend. She proudly embraced her Polynesian heritage, trips to Disneyland, her frog collection, and joyful games of bingo and she loved those slot machines -always welcoming others with true Aloha spirit. Her laughter, wisdom, and love will forever live on in the hearts of her family.
Marleen will be remembered always for her love, strength, and the lasting impact she made on her family. Her memory will live on in every person she has touched.
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, Tracy is honored to serve the Ramirez Family. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest immediately following at the Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 East Schulte Road, Tracy. Chapel services will be live streamed via her tribute page at www.frymemoriakchapel.com for family & friends unable to attend. An online guest book is also available for condolences and special messages to the family.
