Marlene Andreason Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapels - Bloomington on Feb. 20, 2026.
Andreason, Marlene L. (Reed), Age 89, Marlene passed away February 8, 2026 peacefully with loving family at her side. Daughter to Lowell Reed and Alice Sommerdorf, she was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bonnie, Bill, Lynda and Jim, her husband Earl Andreason and John Belko (father to her children). She is survived by her six siblings, three sons and daughter John (Maxine), Greg, Rick, Shirley (Tim), 9 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews.

Marlene's youth was spent with large family in Lake Elmo, MN. When she met the love of her life, Earl, they moved to Hawaii and spent many fun filled years together eventually returning to Minnesota to be near her beloved family. Her late husband, Earl, often described her as "a classy lady." The description endured because it was accurate. Marlene carried herself with composure and self-respect. She valued good manners, thoughtful presentation, and treating others with dignity. Many who knew her would use the same words. She lived a life defined by devotion to family, steady generosity, and quiet refinement.

She leaves behind her children, extended family, and a wide circle of relatives and friends who benefited from her steady presence. Her legacy is visible not only in the family she raised, but in the tangible reminders of her care-cards saved in drawers, handmade gifts displayed on shelves, and traditions quietly passed on.

Funeral Service 2 p.m. on Friday, April 17th, Christ United Methodist Church, 2500 E Hudson Pl, Maplewood, MN. Visitation 1 to 2 pm. Prior to the service. Private interment, Fort Snelling.
