Marlene (George) Glynos, 79, passed away on August 8, 2025. She was the devoted wife of John G. Glynos with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in Danvers on September 10, 1945 to Greek immigrants, Louis and Georgia (Kotrides) George. Marlene was a lifelong resident of Danvers. She graduated from Danvers High School in 1964. Marlene had been a local hair stylist for several years. For the past thirty years she had been employed with Henry's Market in Beverly as their customer service representative.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by two sons, Louis Glynos and his wife Kristen of Danvers and George Glynos of Danvers, her grandchildren, Alexcea, Evan and Loucas, her sisters-in-law Eileen, Helen and Joan George, all of Danvers and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Freda Keohane and Angelo, John and James George.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Her Funeral Service will be held at 10AM on Thursday, August 14, 2025 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, 30 Sylvan St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marlene's name to Saint Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody, MA 01960.
