Marlene Elizabeth Hach (Wolf), 83 of Painesville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday June 24, 2025 at Western Reserve Hospice House, Euclid OH.

Funeral service will be held at Painesville United Methodist Church, 71 N Park Pl (on the square) on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 12:00 noon with Reverend Jerry Kalb officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery, Route 608. Visitation will be held at Painesville United Methodist Church before the funeral from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon.

Marlene was born in Mentor on the Lake to Albert and Ottilie Wolf in 1942. She graduated from Andrews School in 1960 and attended Fenn College for business. She worked for Dyson Corporation and was the Vice President of Hach Excavating and Demolition. She was a tennis pro and taught at Mentor Heisley Racquet Club for many years as well as provided private lessons at her home. She coached the Mentor High School tennis team and the Lake Erie College team in the 1980's. Not only did she win trophies and prizes in local and state competitions, she went on to win the national senior tennis competition. She considers her most important accomplishment in teaching tennis to hundreds of students over the years. After she retired from teaching tennis, she became an accomplished pickleball player. Never one to sit still, she was an avid gardener. She loved entertaining family and friends. She was passionate about animals and rescued all of her dogs from shelters including her beloved dogs Toto and Pickle.

Marlene is survived by her husband of 64 years, Paul W. Hach; her children, Stacy Hortner (Michael) of Allentown, PA, Robyn Stevovich (Todd Zubricky) of Madison, OH, Tammie Klinect, and Paul Hach II, of Painesville, OH; Her grandchildren Joseph Klinect, Josh Zubricky, Jillian and Ethan Hach, Kara and Elyse Hortner; siblings Karen Loeffel (John) and Alan Wolf (Karen); and "adopted" daughter, Amy Thuer and son, David Korosec. She is preceded in death by her siblings Ted Wolf and Chris Wolf.

We will remember her spicy sense of humor, her laugher, and joy. Above all else she loved her family and will be terribly missed.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lake County Dog Shelter, 2600 N Ridge Rd, Painesville, OH 44077.
