Susan M. Hansen

Susan M. Hansen, of Concord, passed away on February 6th, 2026. She was born in Euclid, OH on June 2, 1958 to Donna Cartulla and the late Gerald Cartulla.

Susan created a loving home with her husband Richard, filled with laughter and cherished memories. She treasured her role as a mother and especially as "Yaya" to her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were true lights of her life, whom she adored and made it a point to spend time with, often inviting them over to create wonderful memories over the years. In addition, Susan had a special bond with her dog, Emma, who was a constant source of joy. In her off time, Susan was an avid gardener who generously shared everything she grew with all her family and friends. She was known by many as a woman full of life. She had a tender soul, empathetic heart, and loving personality that will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Susan was the beloved wife of Richard Hansen for 40 years; loving mother of Robert (Mackenzie) Hansen, and Makenna (Ryan) Johnson; a proud grandmother of Isabella, Gianna, Olivia, Lucas, Morgan and Beckett; a cherished sister of Joseph (Jennifer) Cartulla and Kimberly Cartulla; daughter of Donna Cartulla; and caring aunt of Angela (Roger) Nelson, Joseph Cartulla, Dane Franko, Dana Franko, and Daniel Franko.

She was preceded in death by her father Gerald Cartulla.

A Celebration of Susan's life will occur on Thursday, February 12th, 2026 from 3:00pm - 6:00pm at Monreal Srnick Funerals & Cremations 35400 Curtis Blvd. Eastlake, OH 44095. A memorial service will follow at 6:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
