Marlene was a devoted and loving wife, mother, Nom and Nomie. She found the most joy in watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren on the field, on the court or in the pool competing and she was T.C.'s biggest supporter while he coached. She cherished the friendships she made while working for the South Bend Community School system. She loved to read and belonged to a bookclub. 'We still wonder how many books were actually discussed.' Marlene was a sports enthusiast. She enjoyed cheering for Notre Dame athletics especially women's basketball and football. She liked working in her yard and was a lifelong cubs fan. Marlene was the 'rock' of the family. She made motherhood look easy.
