Marlene Measel Obituary

Marlene H. Measel, 89, of Evans City, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, while under the care of Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Born Oct. 14, 1935, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Cecelia H. (Imhoff) Moore.
Marlene was a former member of St. Matthias Catholic Church in Evans City. She enjoyed music of all kinds and loved having dinner with her cousins. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Marlene will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Susan Meals of Evans City and Terrie (Thomas) Burgard of Renfrew; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Arthur Measel, who passed away in 2005; her brothers, William "Bill," Ronald and Norman Moore; her sister, Adella Barr; and a grandson.
MEASEL - Friends of Marlene H. Measel, who died Wednesday, June 4, 2025, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 116 E. Main St., Evans City, with Pastor Dave Maitland officiating.
