Ronald Gary Maxstadt

Ronald G. Maxstadt, 70, passed away after a ten-year battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Colleen (Hart) Maxstadt, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.
He is survived by his three daughters, Teresa Pratz (Rocco Marcadante), Sandra (Jorge) Rivera, and Jessica (Gary) Montaigne; nine grandchildren, Skyler (Kayla) Pratz, Alyssa (Cody) Osborne, Seth Pratz, Aaron Pratz, Natasha Rivera, Ivan Rivera, Sean Rivera, Kian Rivera, and Jacob Montaigne; and four great-grandchildren, Athena Osborne, Aurora Osborne, River Thompson, and Rose Thompson. He is also survived by his siblings, Dorothy Freeman, Judy (Ed) Scherzer, and Robert Maxstadt, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lorraine Maxstadt; his in-laws, William and Marilyn Robinson; his brother, Alan Maxstadt; brothers-in-law's Jerry Hart and Nick Freeman; and nephew Mike Freeman.
Ron worked in Laborers Union Local 681 for 40 years. He was dedicated to his family, loved time with his children and grandchildren, and was proud to be the builder of his own home.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 8, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, Illinois.
