Marlene Campbell Riley, the last child born to John and Fay Campbell, has left this world after a long, hard battle with dementia. She fought with courage and with as much dignity as this insidious disease would allow.

Marlene was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 28, 1937. She spent her childhood in Salt Lake City, Hunter, and Murray, Utah. She married the love of her life, Conrad Riley, on October 3, 1952, in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

She was the proud mother of four sons. Michael (Judy), Robert (Tammy), Stanley (Jeanette), and Mark (Treasa). She is preceded in death by her husband Con, son Stanley, two grandsons, one great-grandson, her parents, siblings, and many other extended family members.

Marlene’s entire life, her legacy is her family. With 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and even more great-great-grandchildren, earning her the moniker of Grandma Great. She was immensely proud of each and every one, and was quick to tell anyone that would listen, and even those that weren’t overly interested in listening, how amazing her family is. Her quick wit, calming disposition, and great advice rooted in common sense, wisdom, and unconditional love. She always made you feel better about yourself. She provided clarity to everything: your problems, the world, and your place in it.

Our family would like to thank everyone at The Retreat at Sunbrook for their loving and expert care and the staff at Zion's Way Hospice. We are forever grateful.

A celebration of life and funeral services will be held Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:00 am, with a viewing one hour prior, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123.
