Marlene C. Springstube, age 80, a resident of Romeo since 1978, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Shelby Comfort Care in Shelby Township. Marlene was born August 28, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Peter and Patricia Serafini. Marlene attended St Augustine High School in Detroit, graduating class of 1963. On November 14, 1964, she married Donald Springstube at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Detroit. Marlene worked retail in the food industry for many years, then later in Human Resources. She enjoyed playing golf and Blackjack, as well as traveling to the Caribbean and Las Vegas.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Donald Springstube of Bruce Twp, daughters, Kim Beaton of Warren, and Karey Tsatsanis of Sullivan, Ohio, brothers David (Debby) Serafini of Petoskey, and Gerald Serafini of Sterling Heights, and grandchildren, Karley Beaton, Jason (Lauren) Beaton, Jacob Tsatsanis, and Markos Tsatsanis.
Funeral Services will be private and for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National MS Society, “In honor or memory of Marlene Springstube.” Donation letter can be sent to 12391 Glasgow Dr. Bruce Twp, MI 48065.
