Janice Springstube, age 69, of Town of Liberty/Manitowoc, passed peacefully in her sleep at home on Friday, October 17, 2025. Janice was born August 24, 1956, the daughter of the late Leonard Vogel and Louise (Dobinski) Vogel. She grew up in Two Rivers and was a 1974 graduate of Two Rivers Washington High School. In 1975, she married William Springstube and together they had two children, Saundra and Jason.
Janice was the type of person that never met a hobby she didn't like. Over the span of her lifetime, she tinkered with all sort of hobbies – camera repair, quilting, harmonica, guitar and so many others. One of her favorites was sewing. She enjoyed sewing for her children as they grew up, for herself, but it brought her much joy to sew clothing for others – often making outfits for youngsters of friends in her congregation. She also had a deep love for animals of all kinds and throughout her life enjoyed her dogs, ferrets, birds, rats, cats as well as expanding that love to farm animals when she moved out to the country - her favorite being goats.
Janice was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1985. Studying the Bible built her faith in God's promise of a coming paradise here on earth where she learned that those that have passed away will be resurrected and reunited with their loved ones and this brought her much comfort throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Springstube of Manitowoc, Saundra (Bryan) Courchane of Seymour, and Jason (Frances) Springstube of Sheboygan, grandchildren Romeo and Kaylani, brothers Terry (Marge) Vogel and Dennis Vogel as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
At Janice's request, there will be no funeral services.
