Marlene Margaret Torgerson

Marlene Margaret Torgerson, 87, of Libby, MT, passed away at her home in Libby on Saturday, February 8, 2024, of natural causes. She was born May 18, 1937, in Shelby, MT, to Edward and Margaret (Flesh) Theonnes. She graduated from Libby High School and on July 17, 1956, she married Richard Russell Torgerson in Libby, MT. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage before his death in 2012.
Marlene was well known throughout the school system as she worked as a custodian for Libby Public Schools for 28 years. She enjoyed spending time with family. She was a devout Christian of the Catholic faith being a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church parish. Marlene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and cherished her dog, Dickie. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents, Edward and Margaret Theonnes; brothers, John, Marvin and Ken Theonnes; daughter, Richarda Torgerson; grandson, Nathan Witt; and great-granddaughter, Kila Vinion Kair.
Survivors include her children David Torgerson of Roseville, CA, Wanda Dixon of Springfield, OR, Mariah Witt of Henderson, NV, Richelle Vinion and Tina Torgerson both of Libby, MT, and Marlena Schittone of Morrison, CO; grandchildren Steve Torgerson, Jeff Torgerson, Jack, Robert and William Dixon, Brandon Witt, Ashlie, Autumn and John Vinion, Justin Ficquette, Ryder and Breanna Schittone; and 7 great-grandchildren Hayden, Macie, Ben, Bree, Lorelei, Mya and Jade.
Rosary will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 14, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 14, 2025.
