Marlyn Lester Obituary

Marlyn was born June 20, 1942 to Orville and Gwendolyn Lester. In his younger years, he was a great help to his father on the family farm south of Indianola, now home to the Annette Nature Center and the Warren County Conservation Board. He loved the outdoors and fishing outings with his dad and brother. In 2012, the Indianola Athletic Booster Club named him "fan of the year" as he never missed a home high school baseball, football, basketball, or wrestling match.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and sister Sylvia Ann. Surviving are his brother Raymon (Betty) Lester, nephews Grant and Chris Lester, Aaron McCabe (Kelly), Eric McCabe (Laura), and cousin Blair Lawson (Marilyn). The family would like to express gratitude to Glenda Bolton who as conservator has watched over Marlyn's affairs over the years.
Memorials may be given, in Marlyn's memory, to the Christian Opportunity Center in Indianola.
