Marple Hull Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Burbage Funeral Home - Snow Hill, MD on Dec. 1, 2025.
Marple Eugene Hull Sr., 77, of Snow Hill, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home on November 7, 2025. He was born on January 30, 1948, and lived a life marked by hard work, quiet strength, and deep devotion to the people he loved.
Marple proudly served his country as a veteran, carrying that sense of duty and steady resolve through every chapter of his life. He spent 25 years with Dresser Wayne, where he was known for his reliability and strong work ethic. After his time there, he embraced the open road as a truck driver, a job that suited his independent spirit. Following years of dedicated service in both careers, he retired, ready to enjoy the simple pleasures he cherished most.
Outside of work, Marple found joy in the outdoors and in the rhythms of everyday life. He loved fishing-especially the calm and patience it required-and could often be found thinking about the next best spot or telling a favorite story from the water. Gardening was another passion; he took pride in nurturing what he planted and enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, whether it was a big gathering or a quiet moment at home.
Marple was the beloved son of the late Leonard P. Hull and Bertha E. Hull. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Hull, and his sister, Loretha Hull.
He is survived by his loving wife, Samantha Hull, and his six children: • Roger Thrasher Jr. (Trivia Thrasher) • Angela Acree (James Acree) • Marple Hull Jr. (Angela Hull) • Graham Hull • Kelsey Brittingham (Tyler Brittingham) • Danielle Brodka (Chris Brodka)
He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren: Brett Gresham, Roger Thrasher III, Tylar Montgomery, Jessica Gattis, Tyrell Hull, Corey Hull, Kayla Stewart, Graham Hull Jr., Jaylon Swanson, Payton Brittingham, Taylor Brittingham, Elizabeth Brittingham, Persephone Brodka, and Pheonix Brodka, as well as three great-grandchildren who brought him immense pride and happiness.
Marple Eugene Hull Sr. will be remembered for his steady presence, his gentle heart, and the love he poured into his family. His memory will live on in the stories told, the gardens tended, the lakes and rivers visited, and the lives of all who were lucky enough to know him.
