Marquetta Gratner, age 64, passed peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in Lone Grove, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 28, 2025, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with Pastor Jordan Sampson with Harold Marris officiating. Interment to follow in Durwood Cemetery.
Marquetta was born on July 3, 1960, in Talihina, Okla. to John Taylor and Pauline (Mckinney) Taylor. She attended and graduated from Madill Schools. She went to work at Cooks Laundry, the first of many jobs, as a press operator. She worked all her life even though health issues would force her into retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Blake Richard Gratner, husband, Kent Postoak, brothers; Austin, Leo and Leonard, and sisters; Lomedia, Mary Ann, Johanna, Louise, and Marcella.
Marquetta is survived by her two sons, Derick Postoak and Rodney Postoak Sr., five grandchildren, Hailey, Dasan, Kendra, Rodney Jr. and Myah, siblings, Terrie Sampson and husband Ronnie, Myrna Boston, Doreen Martinez, and Tammie Stiles, aunt, Josephine Taylor, special sister, Vivian Murray, cousin, Sandra Knight, and sister-in-law, Evelyn Postoak.
Special thanks to Angela Lewis, Tammy Stiles and Mays Hospice for their loving care.
