Marsha Dean Douglas, age 83, a beloved wife, mother, and sister, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, at Haywood County Community Hospital in Brownsville, TN. Born on January 1, 1942, in Memphis, TN, Marsha was known for her loving spirit and deep faith in Christ. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM, in the Schaeffer Memorial Chapel located at Kingsway Christian Church, 7887 Poplar Ave., Germantown, TN, 38138. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM.
As a dedicated homemaker, Marsha cherished the time spent with her family, creating a warm and nurturing environment for her loved ones. Her devotion extended beyond her family to her beloved animals, which brought her great joy throughout her life. Marsha was a leader in Christian women's ministries, such as Bible Study Fellowship and Precept Upon Precept. She was a member of the Brownsville Humane Society and the Brownsville Historical Society. For her entire life, she enjoyed summers on Wahpeton Hill at the Spring River in Hardy, AR where her family has had a cabin for over a hundred years. Marsha's Godly nature was evident in everything she did, serving as a source of inspiration to those around her.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 59 years, Larry Douglas, and her two daughters, Kim Douglas of Brownsville, TN, and Courtney Douglas of Panacea, FL. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Clay McLeod Dean (Debbie) of Hardy, AR as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews that she loved dearly.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, William Channell Dean, Sr. and Marjorie Murray Dean Skinner, and her two brothers, William Channell Dean, Jr. and Thomas Stanley Dean. Her memory will be lovingly cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
