With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Marsha Bonnie Kaminshine, who passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, surrounded by love. She was 76 years old, just shy of turning 77. Born at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital on July 11, 1948, Marsha grew up in Bellmore, Long Island, where her love for art, music, and helping others began to bloom. She was the daughter of Renee and the late Sherman Kaminshine, and from a young age, she carried a deep sense of compassion that would shape her life's work. Marsha pursued her education with purpose, earning a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's in social work. As a dedicated social worker, she spent her career lifting up others-always listening, always caring. But Marsha was so much more than her profession. She was a devoted mother to Robert DeBlasio and Daniel DeBlasio, a proud grandmother to Alyssa Marie and Robert Charles, and a loving mother-in-law to Angel Lynn DeBlasio. She also shared a lifelong bond with her dear brother, Steve Kaminshine, and her beloved mother Renee, who survives her. Marsha had a creative soul. She found joy in painting, singing, dancing, and attending the ballet or opera. Her spirit was vibrant, her heart generous, and her laughter unforgettable.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM at The Gardens in Boca Raton, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman. In honor of Marsha's life and passions, the family asks that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in lieu of flowers. Marsha's light touched many, and her memory will live on in the art she loved the lives she helped, and the family who will forever hold her close.
