Marsha Renay Upchurch (nee Stewart), 68, of Atlanta, TX passed away on Friday, August 8th, 2025 in her home. Marsha was born April 19th, 1957 in Phoenix, AZ.

Marsha's love language was her service to others, from her and Joe's service at Antioch Baptist Church to her service for her customers on her mail route. Marsha built many friendships in her life, and she would do everything she could to assist those who needed help. Marsha shared her appreciation and love for her friends and family with her amazing talent, frequently crocheting blankets, gloves, sweaters, toys or other items for the people she cared about. In recent years, she loved tending to her garden and sharing her produce with her family and friends.

Marsha is survived by her husband, Joe Kervin Upchurch who lives in Atlanta, TX; her children Christopher Upchurch and wife Wu Yao who live in China, Thomas Upchurch and husband Jesus Serrato who live in Texarkana TX, and Jason Upchurch and wife Sandra Upchurch who live in Atlanta TX; her sisters Debbie Barclay, and Nora Stewart Broadbent and husband Brandon; her grandchildren Alexandra Upchurch, Katie Upchurch, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Renae Upchurch, and Bella Marie Upchurch.

Marsha was preceded in death by her mother Evelyn Stewart; and her siblings Charles Martin, Billy J Stewart, Patricia Hunter-Norris, and Glenda Howard.

Marsha's viewing will be held at Hanner Funeral Service on Wednesday, August 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Her funeral will be held at Hanner Funeral Service on Thursday, August 14th at 10:00 am. The family will be cremating Marsha, so there will not be a graveside service. A reception will be held at Antioch Baptist Church following the funeral and the family requests that you bring your favorite dish.
