MARSHA “WAWA” CAIAZZA
On February 23, 2024, Marsha “Wawa” Caiazza got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 71 years old (going
on 18).
There was no one quite like Marsha. She lit up a room when she walked in, and always brought levity and kindness into any interaction, whether with a family member, or an unfamiliar face. The love Marsha showed to everyone she met will leave an imprint on their hearts forever. She was the eternal optimist. Marsha was the organization socialite, and was the glue that held together friends and family. She was up for anything and everything, and always put her family first.
Born in Canton, Ohio, Marsha dedicated her life to cultivating the minds of countless children as the co-founder of Beginning Years Christian Preschool in Uniontown, Ohio. Marsha was a graduate of Glenwood High School and Walsh College. She was an active member in her church, a lover of yoga, and an avid cook.
Marsha is predeceased by her parents, John and Stella Granchi, her aunt, Blanche Kutt, her sister, Patricia McCourry, and her sister-in-law, Marsha Granchi.
Marsha is survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Caiazza; her brother, Ronald Granchi; her son and daughter, Jonathan (Patti) Caiazza and Amanda (Nathan) Brooks; and her seven grandchildren, Darbi, Evyn, Paige, Max, Keegan, Colton, and Raelynn. Marsha’s family and many friends were so blessed with the time that they got to spend with her, and she will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown, on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 10:00 am, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2953 Edison Street, NW, Uniontown. Interment will follow at North Lawn Cemetery, Canton.
