Marshall "Hoolie" W. McKalips, Jr., 72, of McClure, passed away on Sunday December 26, 2021.
On Sunday December 26th there was a hell of a "Rock Show in Heaven," Friends knew him as the great and powerful Hoolie, he rode into the great beyond to meet up with Calvin, Aunt Jane, Shultz and Crawdaddy. Full of life and always up for a good time, a rock show or playing the harps, he would do anything for anyone. He loved music, His best buddy and son Matt would go with him on many adventures and concerts.
Born in Shanksville, PA the son of Marshall W. and Anna McKalips, he was a child of the 60's and let everyone know it especially his sister Nellene Molek Bunting who he would drive crazy with his antics and his brother Dennis McKalips.
He was the Dad to Marshall W. McKalips III, Kristian " Chimm Chimm" McKalips, Matthew "Matty" McKalips, and stepson Jimmy Blakeslee, Four grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his favorite sister-in-law, Betty Ann. You would see him wearing his bandanas traveling with his best friend, Barry Parson. He took his faithful Golden Retrievers, Maxine and Quinn, for walks through his home town of McClure no matter what kind of weather, they came first. They sit here now waiting for him to get home. And Me, his wife, Mary Theresa McKalips, there were many times I could not keep up with him and didn't even try. Yes Hoolie, I love you so much, I will miss you forever, you are the love of my life. I want to thank Kathy Keefer the mother of Marshall and Kristian "Chimm Chimm" and our friend, "Cork" Pannebaker for their thoughts on this obituary.
As per his request, there will be no services held.
Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
