Marshall (Bucky) Theodore Weller Jr. of Martinsburg WV passed away June 1, 2022 after fighting for his life for 33 days at the VA Medical Center.
Born on October 27,1935 he was the son of the late Marshall Sr. and Annie Louise (Good)Weller.
Bucky served in the Army for four years as Border Patrol in Germany.
He was Head Carpenter for over 15 years and then went on to be a restaurant owner in Harpers Ferry (The Freedom Rock Sandwich Shop).
He also tried his hand in owning race horses. Bucky was a lifetime racehorse fan and spent the majority of his lifetime betting on them.
Before Covid he enjoyed going to the Senior Center and playing pool with his many friends.
As of late his passions were spending time with his loving daughter, caretaker of the past 7 years Marsha Lopez (Miguel) of Martinsburg and his dog Burt. In addition to Marsha, he is survived by his daughters Cindy Chaney, Penny Combs both of Harpers Ferry, Candy Campbell, Gwen Weller (Ismael) both of Martinsburg, Deanna Melara (Jose) of Rockville MD. His sons, Allan Weller, David Weller (Shirley) both of Harpers Ferry, Lynn Fitzwater of Charles Town and Curtis Weller of Inwood; thirty-one grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren
He is also survived by his sisters: Joy Moss and Brenda Ann. His brothers: Harry and Raymund (Reba) Larry (Brusille) Wayne, Robert and Donald Weller.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughters Angela McDonald and Kristy Weller. His grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell, Crystal Weller, Olivia Weller, Bruce Scotty Nicholson, Stacy Chaney. His sisters Nancy Watson, Terry Watson and Lilly "Peewee" Coleman.
Bucky left a legacy of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and one Great- Great Grandchild on the way.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Ranson with Pastor Jimmy Williams officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 10 at the funeral home.
