Marshall C. Wollman, 71, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife Joan, his sons Samuel and Jacob, his stepdaughters Nicole, Kathleen and Christine, his first wife Mary and her family and many other beloved friends, including Kathleen McKeever, Barry Weiss, Peter McCormick, Nick Albanese and Ellen Burnett.
Marshall was born in Philadelphia and lived much of his life there. He loved his city and he loved his Eagles and Phillies. As a child, he spent his summers in Atlantic City, where he learned to play guitar. Singing and playing guitar brought him great joy. His favorites were Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Kinks, The Band, Cream and Bruce Springstein.
He attended Villanova University, where he earned a degree in History, another passion of his. Later, he obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work from Temple University, and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
He dedicated decades of his life providing therapy and comfort to so many people in pain. He began his mental health career at an Einstein emergency services in Bensalem. He continued providing therapy at CATCH, Inc, and later at Jewish Family Service of Atlantic County. In 2004, he returned to Philadelphia, as well as to CATCH, where he finished his career as the Clinical Director. He implemented an internship program at CATCH for Temple students. He was particularly proud of this endeavor, being able to share his talent and expertise with the next generation of mental health professionals.
Family and friends are invited to his visitation Saturday, August 16th from 12 to 1:30 PM at Jackson Funeral Home, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ, where his Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Marshall's memory may be made to the Jewish Family Service of Atlantic County, 607 N. Jerome Avenue, Margate City, NJ 08402 or the Mental Health Organization of your choice.
Interment will be private.
