Florence Ann McMenamin

Florence was born to Ellen (Malley) and James McMenamin, Sr. She was the youngest of three sisters and one brother. She graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Temple University, and a Master's degree from Villanova University. She taught elementary school, and later became a school counselor, in the Philadelphia City School system for 35 years.
Florence's passion was travel, She toured all over the United States and six of the seven continents. She loved sightseeing and meeting new people. She also enjoyed cruises to and from many countries. After retirement, Florence moved to Naples, FL after spending several vacations. She was a member of the Encore Club of Bonita Springs and the Circumnavigators Club of Naples. In Naples, Flo was very active and met many new and dear friends.
Florence was a two-time cancer survivor. Sadly, her death was the result of permanent brain damage caused by a fall.
Florence was survived by her sister Ellen, Ellen's two children Meghan and Kevin, and Kevin's family; her sister Marie, Marie's husband Richard, Marie's two Ginger and Rich, and Rich's family; and her brother Jim, Jim's wife Anne, Jim's children Eileen and her family, and Jimmy and his family. She leaves behind many loving cousins and relatives. She is also survived by her cherished friends, especially Bruce Kropschot.
Florence was preceded in death in death by her parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, her stepfather Paul MacWilliams, her stepmother Henrietta White, and her brother-in-law Kevin Moore.
Florence's family and friends will hold private remembrances at a later date.
