Martha Mae Aiken, born on June 21, 1966, in the serene town of Waynesville, NC, departed from this world on October 9, 2025. A beloved mother and cherished friend, Martha found joy in the simplest of things, with a heart that overflowed with love for her family and a passion for life's gentle pleasures.
As a devoted Certified Nursing Assistant, Martha dedicated her life to caring for others, embodying compassion and warmth in every interaction. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her profession, enriching the lives of her six children-Teresa Glenn, Kelli Love, Kathy Strange, William Strange, Jason Strange, and Mark Chitwood-who will forever carry her legacy in their hearts.
Martha was a woman of simple joys; she loved the thrill of fishing, where time seemed to pause as she cast her line into the water, embracing nature's tranquility. Sewing was another cherished passion, where she meticulously threaded each stitch, weaving love into the fabric of her creations.
Martha will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, her infectious laughter, and the love she poured into every moment. A life dedicated to family, she brightened the lives of all who knew her.
As we prepare to say our goodbyes, we will celebrate the love, the laughter, and the countless memories that Martha Mae Aiken gifted to us all. May she find peace, and may her spirit continue to guide us as we cast our lines into the waters of life, forever inspired by her love.
