Martha Long Blackwood, 71, of Ravenel SC, wife of the late Lawrence Edward Blackwood Jr., passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at Dorchester Memory Gardens in Summerville, SC, on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 3:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel. Martha was born on February 6, 1950 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Rudolph M. Long and the late Emmie Grist Long. She is survived by one son, Lawrence "Larry" Edward Blackwood III of Ravenel, SC; and one daughter, Lisa McElhaney (Ted) of Ravenel, SC. Martha was a loving grandmother of three grandchildren, Lauren McElhaney, Ted McElhaney Jr., and Tyler Blackwood, all of Ravenel, SC. She is also survived by three siblings, James Long (Debbie), Mary Low (Stanley), and Sally Ellisor. Martha was an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Long and Rudolph "Rudy" Long Jr.
