Martha Kay Bridges

 

Martha Kay Bridges, 80, entered eternal rest on Thursday December 28, 2023. A native of Spartanburg County, Martha was born on November 14, 1943, to the late Ernest Webb and Martha Israel Webb.  A homemaker for years, Martha enjoyed crafting, painting, listening to Elvis Presley’s music and most of all spending time with her family.

Martha is survived by her loving husband of sixty-three years Mr. Jimmy Dean Bridges, two sons, Timmy Bridges(Tamy), and Tony Bridges(Cherry Wall); a daughter Tonya Newton (Mike); seven grandchildren, Tiffany Wofford (Trent), Tori Graham (Kevin), Maci Foster, Shayde Bridges, Coleton Bridges, Hayden Newton and Madison Newton(Braiden Deese); as well as seven great-grandchildren; a brother Tommy Webb(Linda) and a host of special nieces and nephews. Martha was predeceased by her sisters; Tina Steadman, Melba Bagwell and Joyce Maybry and a brother, Jerry Webb.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Martha on Thursday January 4,2024 at the JF Floyd Mortuary Greenlawn Chapel 2075 E. Main Street Spartanburg, SC 29307. Visitation will begin at 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, followed by a service in the Greenlawn chapel beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow the service as she will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd. Spartanburg, SC 29307.
