Jones County: Martha (Carol) Bryan passed away Friday evening March 31, 2023 at Harbor Grace Hospice, Atlanta, Georgia after a brief illness. Services will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 2:00 P.M., with a visitation for family and friends at 1:00 P.M., at Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at 4:00 PM, Westview Cemetery, Soperton, Georgia. Rev. John Haney will officiate.
Carol was born on January 29, 1946 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Ira F. Maddox. Preceded in death also by her husband Gerald Thomas Bryan, grandparents, Claude Sanders, Leland Sanders and faithful companion Babe.
She was a member of the Gray chapter # 555, Order of The Eastern Star. Carol was employed by Robinson-Humphrey, Atlanta, Georgia for twenty years. She was the owner of A to Z wholesale business contracting for the United States Government. Carol was a faithful member of Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church and attended as long as her health permitted. She loved her faithful companion Babe, which will be interred with her.
Carol is survived by her loving mother, Ruth S. Maddox, brother, Wayne I. Maddox (Cola), brother in-law, Alan Bryan (Mary), step-daughter, Allison Gatlin (Ryan), granddaughter, Ella Van Strickland, Aunt, Eunice Babb, cousin, Sharon Amor (Rick).

I can hear Carol's voice and her laugh and see her smile from years at Robinson-Humphrey. She was a wise and good person who ran her department with both expertise and genuine goodness. She was exemplary of the best of a wonderful company. In loving memory, with sincere condolences to her family and friends.
