Martha Stamps Coleman

Martha Stamps Coleman, age 92, of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025. Martha was a devout Christian woman and an active member of Center Chapel Church of Christ. She had a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors, and she had a special fondness for animals. As a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, she touched the lives of her family with warmth and kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Martha was the daughter of the late James and Irene Logue Stamps. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Mark Coleman, brother, Ted Stamps and his wife Irene Stamps, brother, Jimmy Stamps, sister Blanche Vannatta and her husband Johnny Vannatta, and son-in-law, Rick Sparks.

She is survived by:

Children – Pat Sparks, Mark Coleman, and Jim (Angela) Coleman

Grandchildren – Richard (Karmen) Sparks, Adam (Bev) Sparks, Lindsay (Mark) Beasley, A.J. (Cassie) Coleman, Jesse Coleman, Amanda (David) Stewart, Alex Coleman, and Chris (Larissa) Coleman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday October 8, 2025, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Darrell Duncan and Andy Connelly officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Richard Sparks, Adam Sparks, A.J. Coleman, Jesse Coleman, Alex Coleman, Chris Coleman, and Aaron Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Center Chapel Church of Christ Ladies Bible Class and the Elders of Center Chapel Church of Christ. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Bond Memorial Chapel.
