In Loving Memory of Martha Lilia Daza

With deep sorrow and love, we announce the passing of Martha Lilia Daza, who departed this life

on July 15, 2025, in Monticello, NY.

She was Born on April 21, 1942, in Medellín, Colombia, Martha was the eldest of nine siblings - and from an early age, she

became the pillar of her family, offering strength, guidance, and unconditional love to those around her.

A devoted wife, Martha, is now reunited with her beloved husband, who passed just over 20 months ago.

Their bond was one of true love and partnership.

She was a loving and nurturing mother; to Jose (Kerry), John (Heather) and Martha Luz, a proud grandmother; to Alexus, Elijas, Heavenly, Izabella, Mateo, Ellyza, and Ethan, and a joyful great-grandmother; to Hazel and Luca.

Her greatest pride was her family, and she poured her heart into every role she held.

She was also an adoring aunt, a cherished godmother, a loyal sister and treasured friend, and a source of love and comfort to her many nieces and nephews, all of whom she treated like her own.

Martha will be remembered most for her caring, motherly spirit, and her gentle kindness that made everyone feel safe and loved in her presence. She had quiet strength, a generous heart, and a natural grace that touched all who knew her.

Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, and endless love. She leaves behind a legacy rooted in compassion, selflessness, and deep devotion to her family.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace in knowing she is at rest and reunited with the love of her life.

Her memory will forever live on in all of us who were lucky enough to be loved by her.

"She was mother not just by blood, but by grace. Now she rests in God's arms- the mother of us all."

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, at St. Peter's R.C Church at 10 Liberty Street in Monticello
