Martha Ellen Edgeworth, 76, of Essex, Maryland, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025.
Born on May 31, 1949, in New York City, Martha was the daughter of John Germann and Ellen B. Lynch. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, and a Master of Science degree in Communications. She retired after a distinguished career as a Senior Policy Analyst with the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, where she worked to strengthen and support rural communities nationwide.
Martha was a faithful member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Essex. She found joy in gardening and was an avid reader, particularly interested in history and current events.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul J. Edgeworth, her sister, Jane Miller, and nephews John, and Daniel Miller.
A private cremation was held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
