Martha Mary Freitag, 85, of Connestee Falls Brevard NC passed away on August 3rd, 2023. She was a passionate wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished life's humble pleasures – the mountains, friendly card games, spirited rounds of bocce, the art of cooking, tranquil moments on the beach, basking in the sun's warmth, the music of laughter, the embrace of family, the joy of grandchildren, the companionship of friends, and a myriad of other joys.
For many years, she worked as a cruise travel agent, which afforded her the opportunity to explore numerous captivating destinations.
Funeral services will be a private affair, exclusively for immediate family members. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, John D. Freitag, Jr., her sons - Dan Freitag, Bob Freitag, and Tom Freitag - as well as her daughters-in-law, Tracy Freitag and Elaine Freitag. Martha's legacy lives on through her grandchildren - Zack Freitag, Brianna Freitag, Lauren Freitag, and Parker Freitag.
In lieu of floral tributes, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be directed to any of the Four Seasons Hospice Care House locations.
Mom, your absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Your impact on our lives is immeasurable, as you instilled in us the values of compassion, resilience, and a zest for life. Your lessons in giving and receiving love will forever guide us. You will be profoundly missed and forever treasured.
The words of Jesus resonate: "I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will live, even though they pass away." - John 11:25
