Martha McIntosh Giebler (Liesmann), age 83, of Ellisville, Missouri, passed away at Ellisville Rehab and Nursing Home on Wednesday August 13, 2025. Martha was born October 13, 1941 to Julius and Marie (McIntosh) Giebler in Clayton, Missouri. Her roots stem from the Giebler family of Bourbon, Missouri.

Martha received her B.A. from Truman State in Political Science with a minor in Organ Performance. She was an accomplished pianist and organist.

Martha made her home in Macon, Missouri and was blessed with three children. In 1974 they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. For the next 20 years she dedicated herself to her career as a Contract Administrator with Transok, a natural gas pipeline company.

Martha loved Tulsa and was involved in many groups and organizations there. She played the piano for the Tulsa Performing Arts Center and the Tulsa Little Theatre. She was a member of the Tulsa Oratorio Chorus and performed for several seasons with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

Martha also loved politics. She helped found the group Voices of Oklahoma Women (VOW) which encouraged women to run for public office and was a volunteer for the Domestic Violence Intervention Service (DVIS). After her children were grown, she earned a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Oklahoma.

In 1994 she returned to the St. Louis area to care for her aging parents. She became quite interested in fitness and became a Certified Personal Trainer. Her second career was working as a trainer for the Kirkwood – Webster YMCA well into her late 70s.

Martha is survived by her sister, Mary Camp and husband, Doug, of Midlothian, VA; her children: Elizabeth Grimm-Howell and husband, George, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Julia Weingart and her husband, Chris, of Cottleville, MO, and Andrew Grimm and wife, Tonya, of Kirksville, MO; five grandchildren: Owen Grimm-Howell of St. Paul, MN, Meredith Grimm-Howell of Warrensburg, MO, Drew Weingart of St. Louis, MO, Taylor Grimm Wood and husband, Justin, of Wooldridge, MO, and Alexander Grimm of Colombia, MO.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Marie Giebler.

The family will hold a private graveside service at 11:00 AM, Saturday September 13, 2025, with a Celebration of Life at a later date with her church family in St. Louis.
