Martha Lane Hart was born on September 7, 1942, in Connersville, Indiana. She was the daughter of Forrest Glen and Mary Jo (Bertsch) Neely. She passed away peacefully on January 14, 2024.
Martha graduated from Milton High School, Milton, Indiana in May 1960. She married Gerald (Jerry) R. Hart on September 5, 1970, in Bloomington, Indiana. They resided in Bloomington and Spencer.
Martha worked over 30 years as a purchasing agent for Otis Elevator in Bloomington.
Survivors include nephew, Harold M. Neely Jr. of Florida, niece, Joy Christain of Wyoming, nephew, James Summersgill of Kentucky, niece, Kelly J. Michels of Colorado, as well as many first cousins, and great nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold M. Neely Sr., sister-in-law Dorothy Neely, and her husband Gerald R. Hart.
Funeral services will be held at the West and Parrish and Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. till 12:00p.m. on Thursday, January 25th. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will follow the service at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association at https://www.alz.org or your local Hospice provider in Martha's memory.
