Martha Ann Hotten, 76, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in Birmingham, AL. Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS, on Monday, January 5th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a graveside service following at 12:30 pm in Oakdale Cemetery.
Martha was born on April 23, 1949, in Cleveland, MS, to John W. Miles and Beatrice Miles. She was a graduate of Greenville High School.
Martha was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who delighted to spend time with her family and friends. She loved to entertain and was known to be a superb cook and baker. She retired from United Parcel Service.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jimmy) Jerome Hotten, her parents and her brother, Larry Miles. Survivors include her son, James "Jim” Jerome Hotten Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Birmingham, AL, and three grandchildren, Clara Schaffers (Johnny), Joanna Timmons (Dawson) and Helen Hotten.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
