Mary Martha Huff, 95 went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2024. She was born on July 11, 1928 in Gastonia, North Carolina. She was the oldest child of Rufus Marshall and Lucill Chambers.
Martha accepted Christ at an early age. She moved to Columbus, Ohio to live with her special aunt, Lily Fox. She started her schooling in Gastonia and continued her education in Columbus.She met and married Reuben Lewis Hill, who preceded her in death. She later married Willie B. Troutman, who preceded her in death, and she then moved to Marion, Ohio. She met and married Lorn Huff, who she was married to for 28 years until his death. Martha then met her life partner of 26 years Jessie Wylie, who preceded her in death.
Martha was a strong, independent, confident woman. She held many jobs in her lifetime. Her favorite jobs were working at the Marion Public Library and working the voting polls. She was an avid gardener with a green thumb. Her plants in her home were like trees. She had the most beautiful flower beds, of which her favorite were her amazing roses.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Marshall Chambers, a step daughter Lean Troutman, two grandsons, Ivan J. Fox Sr., Shelly Porter lll and great granddaughter, Jazlyn L. Barnes.
Martha is survived by her six children, Arlene Fox, Patricia Antley, Reuben (Tommi) Hill, Connie Fields, Loudine (Nathaniel) Cooper and Bobby (Debra) Hill. She is also survived by her six step children, May(Michael) Troutman-Wade, Willie/Beaver (Lora) Troutman, Albert (Q.C.) Troutman, Willie/Bookie (Glenda) Troutman, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The American Heart Association.
The family would like to thank Marion General Hospital East for her care, their compassion and her end of life transition.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024; from 11AM-1PM; at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel; 360 E. Center Street, Marion, OH 43302. Funeral Ceremony will begin at 1PM with Pastor Jackie Peterson, officating. Graveside Service will immediately follow at Marion Cemetery.

I will always remember her smile. Everytime I saw her, she always had a beautiful smile. Always keep the happy memories in your thoughts. Sorry, I am not able to be with you today, but my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I would always see Ms. Martha whenever I visited my sister and brother-n-law,Bobby. She was a pleasant woman with a warm smile.
She will be missed.

She was a one of a kind person and I would tell I wanted to be like her when I grow up...she never changed...she was always sharp wherever you saw her.... I am going to miss you Ms Mary....sleep on and take your well deserved rest Kathie McGary-Richardson
