Martha D. Johnson

Martha Johnson, a beloved mother, friend, and woman of steadfast faith, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, at the age of 93. Born with a gentle heart and creative hands, Martha found joy in the simple beauty of life. Her love for arts and crafts and sewing was more than a hobby; they were an extension of her warmth and imagination. Even more so, she loved her potted plants. Martha was one that could place a stick in the ground, and it would grow. Above all, Martha was a strong, godly woman. Her faith guided her life, and she was a dedicated member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Martha supported many people in the mission fields both foreign and in the states. She will be forever missed by all who knew her.
Martha is survived by her son, Glen Johnson; 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband; Elmer Alonzo Johnson; son, Gary Dean Johnson; father; Jacob C. Albritton; mother, Annie Lenora Moak Albritton; brothers, J.C., Luther E., Bennie B., Ulysses, William A., Junior Moak, Charles M., and Pete Albritton; and sister, Eva Ree Albritton Redmond.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kimberly Applewhite and family for the loving care that Martha received.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Mt. Olive Baptist Church 31384 Dunn Rd. Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.
