A funeral mass for Martha H. Leyva, 83, of Arlington, Texas will be conducted at 9:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cleburne, Texas with Father Sergio Rizo officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 16, with Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Rosser Funeral Home.
Martha H. Leyva was born December 22, 1940 in Colonia Esperanza, Chihuahua, Mexico. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, July, 12, 2024 in Cleburne, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents Andres Urias Hernandez and Inocencia Chavez Hernandez, and brothers, Edmundo, Roberto, and Manuel Hernandez.
Martha was a retired administrative assistant and was of the Catholic faith. She loved and adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening, shopping, crafting, and mostly spending time with her family and her beloved Yorkie, Rapunzel.
Survivors include her sons, Manuel Leyva, Jr. (Sara), Carrollton, TX, and Javier Leyva (Michelle) Arlington, TX; daughters, Rebecca Leyva (Jim) Nichols, NY, Maricela Leyva of Lakeside, MT, Yvette Leyva Haskell (Frank) Cleburne, TX and Veronica Leyva Crim (David) Justin, TX; brother, Hector Hernandez and sister, Maria Estella Hernandez; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
