Martha "Susie" Parkey

Martha "Susie" Parkey graduated to her heavenly home on March 7th, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas and parents, Martha and Andrew Dickinson. The youngest of her siblings, she was also greeted by Roy Aldo, Oleta Zalene, Zetha Olene, Betty Ruth, and Garland Guest.
Martha was born in a small West Texas town on September 29, 1934. After graduating from high school, she attended a business school in Amarillo, Texas. It was here that she met her husband, Thomas Parkey, an Air Force captain and pilot. They were married near his home at the School of the Ozarks, in Branson, Missouri on December 23, 1955. Their only child, Debra Suzanne was born January 14, 1957. After Thomas completed his degree in electrical engineering at the University of Arkansas, they moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma. Thomas began and ended his career in the civil service at Tinker Air Force Base.
A devoted wife and mother, Susie was active in her home church, First Presbyterian, where she and Tom became members in 1961. She also was a Girl Scout leader for many years and taught Sunday School for preschoolers. Susie worked as a church secretary and at a local pharmacy. Susie will be remembered as a woman of great faith, a loyal friend to many, and a blessing to all who have known her.
